Here we are back in lockdown again, not knowing how long it will last, or what the future will bring. But this time All Saints Anglican Church here in the Algarve are reaching out to the whole community to extend an invitation to join them every Thursday and Friday in a series of activities, which they hope will bring laughter, smiles and fellowship for everyone.
What’s more, all of it will be via the magic of ZOOM and will be available in the comfort and safety of everyone’s own home.
The Thursday afternoon programme at 3pm includes:
Gardeners Question Time, Relaxation and Meditation techniques, Bread Making, Shrove Tuesday Pancake flipping, Demonstration for a St Valentines Day Treat from our local Celebrity Chef, virtually exploring the jaw dropping Sagrada Familia in Barcelona and many, many more crafts, travelogues and a variety of interactive demonstrations to join.
Every Friday night at 7.30pm is Quiz Night with special emphasis on the “Name Day “ of the 4 Nations Saints – St Patricks Day, St David’s Day, St Georges Day and St Andrew’s as well as general knowledge and special themed Quizzes
Janet Martin, Warden of All Saints in Almancil says “We may be in lockdown and restricted as to what we can do and where we can go but with all this time available it’s a fantastic opportunity to experience something different, and to meet Friends both new and old all without leaving the comfort and security of our own homes. So come and join us, we have some really great things planned this Spring, we’d love to meet you. All the Adventures are open to everyone - just contact Ann for the details on how to join. She will even take you through how to get onto Zoom if necessary and set you up for all the Adventurers we have in store”
