During the hot summer months of July and August, the AMIGOS DE MUSICA concerts will take a well-deserved break!  But, lets catch up on the recent Amigos de Musica news...

At the AGM of the Algarve 41 Club, held at the Restaurante O Farol, Rocha Brava, Carvoeiro on 16^th May 2024, retiring Chairman, Michael Brown, referred to the significance of the major event that had occurred during his second year as Chairman, he having previously occupied the position in 1994/95.

The ASB June ride from Paderne was through the picturesque valleys around Santa Margarita, near Alte and up and over hills above Salir in the central Algarve.

On June 10th, fourteen years ago I started the Algarve Senior Bikers Group. To celebrate, I led a ride from Boliquieme to the Gaivota home, who we raise money for at our events throughout the year.

At a recent wine tasting at the Horta Grill in ALVOR, promoting the wines of the Minho, there were 40 businessmen and women, directors, and opinion-leaders from ten countries: Sweden, Finland, Germany, Holland, England, France, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Portugal.

This month, Algarve Senior Bikers ride offered members the choice of riding from Tavira in the Eastern Algarve, or Odiaxere in the West, eventually meeting for lunch at Restaurant O Folclore in Alte.

This year's Alentejo tour started with the seven ASB members from the Algarve meeting in Sao Marcos da Serra, and led by David travelled via Odemira and the coastal roads to Porto Covo.

In April, Rotary Club Estoi Palace International (RCEPI) President-elect, Vitor Rosão and Honorary Member Zélia Rosão organized and hosted a truly memorable event at Escola Básica Poeta Emiliano da Costa in Estoi to celebrate “Dia da Liberdade” Portugal’s 50th anniversary of the Carnation Revolution.
