On Sunday 28th July, in yet another first for Christ The King Church Anglican Church in Almancil, the Congregation celebrated not 1 but 2 Baptisms, and, just as Jesus did in the Jordan River over 2000 years ago, Utsab and Utsah Koirala were welcomed into the Family of Christ by a symbolic full immersion Baptism.
As dusk fell in the Jardim das Comunidades, Almancil, on Sunday night 19th May 2024, the sky was lit up with cell phone lights and torches to celebrate Pentecost, also known as the birth of the Christian church.
There was a much joy, smiles and shouts of celebration in The Church in the Park, Jardim das Comunidades, Almancil on Sunday 7th April as Reverend Steven Chisholm was officially instituted as Rector of Christ The King Anglican Church Algarve by Bishop Andy Lines of the Anglican Convocation Europe.
I want to tell you the strange tale of when Jesus, who had healed entire towns of every conceivable disease, malady, illness, lameness, and infirmity, (as well as casting out demons from people who were tormented) refused to heal one of his very best friends!!

At Christ The King Anglican Church in Almancil this past weekend they were all constituent parts of the joyful Sunday Morning Service to mark the end of the Alpha Course which has been running since January in Tavira.
On a bright and sunny autumn day in the Jardim das Comunidades, Almancil, the congregation of Christ The King turned out in force to thank the people who do so much to help, support, and care for the members of the community who need it most.
