The Congregations of St. Luke’s Church, Palhagueira, and Igreja da Misericórdia de Boliqueime are delighted to announce the Service for the Licensing and Installation of The Reverend Carla Vicêncio Prior, as the new Chaplain of St Vincent’s Chaplaincy (Central and East).
The service will take place on Saturday 11th January 2025 at 12pm at St. Luke’s Church, Monte da Palhagueira, Sánta Barbara de Nexe Gorjões, Faro 8005-488.
The service will be conducted by The Venerable David Waller, Archdeacon of Gibraltar, Italy and Malta.

Revd Carla comes to us from Derby Cathedral, UK, where she was the Canon for Community Learning. Carla is Portuguese but lived in the UK for 39 years. She has a pre-ordination background in business and marketing and since ordination has ministered in city, rural and cathedral settings. She is excited about this new role and in rediscovering life in Portugal.
