After the last two events being postponed due to bad weather conditions the ride around the Odalouca Barragem turned out to be the best day of the year so far for the motorcyclists of the ASB.
There was a good turnout with so many bikes that the ride was split into two groups, with a 10 minute interval between the two leaving from the start in Silves.
Joachim Heinsen leading the first group on his VW trike backed up by Phil Smith. Steve Wills and myself taking turns at the front of the second group.
The route was from Silves up to the Barragem before Alferce and then down toward São Marcos for coffee.
A short break before heading south over the hills via Sapeira back to Silves, and then across country to Restaurant O Foral near Tunes for lunch outside on the shaded terrace.
A great ride with some new members and chance to wish long time regular rider Ted Wetselaar farewell and best wishes for the future on his last ride before returning to live in his home country of Holland.
