A special ride and lunch was organised by David Shirley on Monday September 1st to welcome the ASB's most distant member.
Madeleine Marques was in the Algarve on holiday with her partner Greg Hartmann.
The group met in Silves before heading into the mountains in the Sao Marcos de Serra area then across country via Alferce to take in the great views from near Picota. Then into Monchique for a coffee break, and on up to Foia for a traditional Chicken Piri Piri lunch at Restaurant A Rampa.
The restaurant, one of the first in Portugal to provide Chicken Piri Piri , has fantastic views from the terrace towards Portimão and the adjacent coastline.
After lunch David led the ride back to Silves via the Odelouca Dam.
