Multi-national Barbershop Chorus Bella A Cappella travelled to Malaga, Spain last week to compete in the "En Armomia" Convention organised by the Spanish Association of Barbershop Singers.
And guess what ? They came home with a Silver Medal! The groups quartet Cleftomania also competed and successfully achieved a Silver Medal too!!
Chorus member Emmy told us "We are extremely proud and happy that, thanks to the skills and dedication of our Musical Director Sylvy Keenan, we impressed the judges in Spain with the songs 'You Don't Know Me' and 'Love Me´. It's obvious that the chorus has achieved an internationally recognised standard."
On top of all this, the group received the SABS Award of Chorus with the Highest Percentage Growth.
Now that the champagne bottles are empty, Bella A Cappella are ready for more Sing-outs in the Algarve, and of course would be delighted to welcome more talented ladies and men into the chorus, and introduce them to the beautiful harmonies of Barbershop singing.
