The VILA VITA Biergarten has just launched a new and even tastier menu with a wider selection of Bavarian flavours.
The appetisers are the prelude to what is to come: Flammkuchen (red onion, homemade bacon and spring onion on a thin pizza base), breaded Camembert with potato pancake and cranberries, or Obatzda camembert with brie, red onion and warm Brez’n. And for starters, pea soup with sour cream or Goulash soup with Viennese bread.
Try one or several of the homemade sausages, produced next door at the butcher, a must. Choose from Wiener, Thüringer (pork and veal), Merguez (spicy veal), Käsekrainer (pork and cheese) or the traditional white sausage Weiβwurst with sweet mustard and Bretz’n.
Specialities include Leberkäse from the butcher, Viennese-style Schnitzel, veal cheek stew or cheese and sautéed onion Spätzle and white cabbage salad. To end the meal, a sweet sin of Black Forest cake, Austrian wheat semolina with red fruit sauce or crispy Streusel of prune and whipped cream.
And of course, no menu would be complete without the traditional beers from Erdinger. Choose from the Weissbier (a traditional recipe made from the best yeasts), Kristall (a crystalline wheat malt, due to the long filtration process), black (full-bodied and hearty stout) or alcohol-free. For wine enthusiasts, there are several options of Herdade dos Grous wines, which also combine perfectly with German dishes.
The younger ones can opt between chicken nuggets and chips, Nürnberg sausage or Viennese pork scallop.
It´s German food at its best, with fresh artisan-made products from organic meat from the Herdade dos Grous, without any artificial colourings or preservatives, served in a family atmosphere.
