Vilamoura International School (CIV) donated €7000 to various charity organisations, at the annual Christmas Concert that took place in Casino de Vilamoura last December. This value was raised by the school community, through the various stalls at the Christmas Fair.
Cidália Ferreira Bicho (Director of Education at CIV) and Bruno Nande (Principal of the English Studies) presented these donations to the Quarteira Social Canteen (€2 500); Miriam - the little fighter; the Fund for Simão and Mariana - Help Mariana Fund! (€1 000 each) and to the Big Hand Project (sponsoring five children) - €1 500.
Respecting others, social awareness and community responsibility are some of the values CIV tries to instil in their students, from a young age. Humanistic values should be evoked in all, with the knowledge that sometimes, providing happiness to someone is only a gesture away.
