Villas & Vacations recent coffee morning in aid of ACCA, raised just over €1,000 for for charity that looks after under-privileged children across the Algarve and works with a number of homes and institutions, funding everything from urgent medication needs and special equipment and therapies to back-to-school essentials.
The V&V event was buzzing, with cake-bakers, beauty product sellers and book purveyors. Happily, rain did not stop play at this event – those who attended socialised and shopped, and every cent went to ACCA who will use the monies that resulted towards its Christmas Angel programme which ensures that every child on its wishlist of 1,500 gets a special gift from Santa this year.

A substantial amount – €2,700 – was also raised by ACCA last weekend at the Bridge Tournament held at Quinta Jacinta. More than 80 keen players enjoyed lunch and the challenge, and the auction of a mini iPad attracted bids from interested parties, producing a further contribution of €170.
ACCA continues to be the most active of all charities on the Algarve, with an impressive list of supporters who want to be involved in making a difference. The ACCA Committee and its roster of enthusiastic volunteers, work tirelessly to collect much-needed funds, giving their time and energy freely.
