As a preamble to the official opening of Olhão’s historic Recriativa building, now under wing of the newly formed 'Associação Cultural Re-Creativa República 14,' there is a concert this coming Friday 9th March, led by the noted guitarist, Nuno Ferreira.The Portuguese musician will be accompanied by Luís Miguel on tenor sax, João Custódio on double bass and João Rijo on drums.
The official opening of the building will be at a launch party on April 13th and 14th, news of that event will follow.
Ferreira is a hugely experienced guitarist, teacher and composer and already has led several musical projects. On Friday he will be fronting a jazz quartet with musicians from Lisbon and the Algarve.
The concert will start at 9.30 pm so fans can enjoy a drink and excellent tapas in the recently opened bar area, Taberna da República.
