All are invited to join in the celebrations at the Pinetrees Riding Centre 39th Birthday Party, on Sunday 28th July, 2024, starting at 15.30h.
As always, we will have the popular Horse & Hound round, Fancy Dress and of course birthday cake! Fundraising for São Francisco Dog´s Home, Loulé.
15:30 - Check in
- Check your entry for horse and rider and the jump size category.
- If you do not have a dog/horse team we may be able to pair you up. Make up your team at this phase
- Pay your entry money of €10 per horse & rider combination or dog and handler.
- Course walk for dogs (on the lead) and try out any of the obstacles
- Riders walk the course on foot.
Raffle: 5 Tickets for €5. The draw will take place at the end during the prize giving. Lots of lovely prizes and you can choose your prize!
16.30 – Fancy Dress:
- Horse and rider
- Handler and dog or any combination!
- The theme - “animals”
- Riders must incorporate their riding hat.
Special SandyBlue rosettes for the best horse and rider combination and for the best dog and handler combination.
17.00 - Horse and Hound
Horse and Rider: The horse and rider compete over a jumping course and obstacles against the clock with 3 choices of heights –
- 1st category - ground poles – a leading rein can be used
- 2nd category - cross bars
- 3rd category - larger jumps
- Poor style or bad riding, knock downs, refusals or run outs, or falls will give you penalties! You must state which category you will do when you check in.
- On finishing the rider must touch the hand of the dog handler before the dog and handler can start. If the rider is going to run with the dog they must dismount and give their horse to the handler
- The dog may be off the lead if the handler considers it safe
- The dog and his handler completes the course consisting of obstacles, such as a slalom, jumps, tunnel, seesaw, against the clock, and with penalties if the judge thinks fit.
- This will make a combined score for the horse and dog.

Art competition – Bring a picture or a painting on Animals that you have done to display in the social area. Put your complete name and age on the bottom right of the picture. Prizes!
