The Saint Andrew’s Society of the Algarve is a small group of Scots and other nationalities whose main aim is to promote things Scottish, but also to enjoy ourselves. This year our annual ball will take place on St Andrew's Day, November 30th from 7pm. Come and join us!
This is a particularly special occasion. It will be the last ball organized by the present committee.
Once again it will be at the marvellous 5-star Penina Hotel, where participants will be greeted by the skirl of the pipes played by our wonderful piper, Malcolm MacGillivray.
As usual, a sumptuous Grand Buffet will be available, with Scottish dancing and the excellent Ceilidh band from Scotland, “The Sound of Islay” afterwards. Each dance will be talked and walked through beforehand, so no need for beginners to hang back!
So, a great opportunity to get out your glad rags and have a great time.
Tickets are €55 for members, or €57.50 for non members.

The Hotel is offering Accommodation for the evening with the cost of rooms at €120 for Double/twin., or €100 for single roo, both include full breakfast.
You can also play a round of golf if you stay at hotel, for €47 - you must mention you are part of St. Andrews group. Booking must be made direct to hotel.
Please note that the Burns Supper on January 25th 2025, which is Burns Day, will also be the last one run by this committee. Details will be advised later.
