World Rewilding Day is coming - March 20th 2025World Rewilding Day is on 20th March, so Rewilding Portugal has organised a full programme of activities on 15th March in Vale de Madeira, near Pinhel in northern Portugal. 

Get to know the wilder side of Portugal with us and celebrate Rewilding Day. The aim of this meeting is to allow participants to have more direct contact with Rewilding Portugal's work on the ground, including socialising with a large part of the team, visiting a rewilding area, having a field lunch and even watching our exclusive documentary.

The programme is as follows:

9.00am - Meeting point at the Rewilding Centre in Vale de Madeira, Pinhel
9.30am -10.00am - Presentation about Rewilding Portugal
10.00 -11.30am - Broadcast of the new documentary CÔA MAIS SELVAGEM and short Q&A session
12.00 - 2.00pm - Field lunch with products from the Wild Côa Network, at the river beach of Vale de Madeira
2.00 -5.30pm - Guided tour of the Ermo das Águias rewilding area by our team
5:30pm - Closing of the commemorative day

Important recommendations:

1. Bring warm, comfortable clothing, given the time of year

2. Bring water for hydration

3. If you think it's necessary, bring food for the tour to Ermo das Águias, scheduled for the afternoon.

4. If you wish to stay overnight the day before or the day of the event, we have our own accommodation available at a special price for event participants.

PRICE: Registration is 10 euros for adults and 5 euros for children aged between 6 and 18. Children up to the age of 6 don't pay, but must be registered in order to control the number of participants.
