Dylan to play Lisbon

DylanThe legendary American musician will be back in Portugal next March for a performance at the Altice Arena in Lisbon.

Tickets for the March 22nd concert by ‘Bob Dylan and his Band’ will be on sale from December 1st and are priced at between €39 and €240.

Dylan last was in the country at the Alive festival in 2008 but has been here before, with concerts in Vilar de Mouros (2004), Coliseu do Porto and Parque das Nações in 1999; in Cascais and in the Coliseu do Porto in 1993.

Bob Dylan's last album, Triplicate, was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature and was released in 2017.

Dylan is an American singer-songwriter and musician from Duluth, Minnesota. Starting his music career in 1959, he came up through the American folk music revival scene and released tracks such as Blowin' in the Wind and The Times They Are a-Changin, which became anthems for the American civil rights and antiwar movements.

He caused controversy in the folk scene in 1965, when he released his fifth album, ‘Bringing It All Back Home’, which featured electric instruments. The single Like a Rolling Stone, hit #2 in the Billboard Hot 200, with his critically acclaimed album, ‘Highway 61 Revisited’ being released in 1965, followed by ‘Blonde on Blonde’, in 1966.
