The weather should remain clear dry until Christmas Eve, with cloudless skies and little chance of rain, according to today’s forecast.
According to the IPMA, in the next few days the minimum temperature should vary between -5 and 0°C in the North and Centre of the country, between 0°C and 4°C in the Southern Alentejo, and between 2°C and 8°C along coastal areas.
The Algarve daytime temperature will rise to between 18°C and 19°C tomorrow and to 17°C on subsequent days with night-time lows as low as 8°C.
Christmas and Boxing days may be rather cloudy in the Algarve with a higher chance of rain, 38% and 45%, with the 27th predicted as cloudy and with 60% chance of rain.
The current, cold north wind will swing to the south on Saturday with a southwesterly from Christmas Day onwards.
Next Tuesday there will be a small rise in the average minimum temperature, between 2°C and 5°C throughout the country but not for long and the cold weather will return.
