Back in Portugal after an eight year gap, Irish rock band U2 are to play the Altice Arena in September this year.
The concert promoters, Ritmos e Blues, say that tickets to see the band will go on sale from 26 January but are limited to four per person with earlier deals for U2.com subscribers and those who bought the Songs of Experience album before November 30, 2017.
The September 16th gig is part of the European leg of the eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour.
The tour starts on May 2nd in Tulsa, Oklahoma, arriving in Europe on August 31st in Berlin for a number of European dates including Cologne, Paris, Madrid, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Milan, Manchester, London and Lisbon.
In addition to these dates, special shows are being prepared for Dublin and Belfast. Details will be announced shortly.
Tickets are priced from €37 to €325 (prices plus fees).
Tickets for the Lisbon concert will be on sale from January 26th on blueticket.pt and at selected MEO stores.
The last time U2 were in Portugal was in 2010, with two concerts at the Estádio Cidade de Coimbra.
