São Brás de Alportel locals have the opportunity to express their opinions on a new business park planned for the Mesquita Baixa area.The council says the project is, "strategic for the economic development of the municipality," and has taken years to get to the public consultation stage which starts on April 30th and runs until May 28th.
The council voted through the 18 hectare business park proposal at the end of March, saying the aim is to develop the local economy and see industry, commerce and service jobs created in the São Brás de Alportel area.
The park has 25 commercial units marked out in the plan. These cover three hectares and the council aims that the park does not join the list of council funded business parks which have few tenants.
