Tavira is to host its 6th Spring Show, from 27-29 April, celebrating the city’s UNESCO status as the home of the Mediterranean diet.
About 100 exhibitors and 70 stands will present a diversity of traditional products and handicrafts characteristic of the Tavira area and Algarve region.
Basketwork and crafts, knitwear and lace, ceramics and tiles, weaving, leatherwork, handmade jewellery as well as decorative candles, stained glass, bamboo and silk, miniatures and wooden toys can be purchased in this event, according to the council organisers.
As for the food products, visitors can expect spirits, liqueurs, wines, traditional carob beer, olive oil, regional sweets, jams and dried fruits, regional bread, honey, cheeses, sausages, organic products, as well as medicinal herbs.
The VI Spring Exhibition is organised by the council in collaboration with ASTA – the Association of Arts and Knowledge of Tavira, the Almadrava Association and the Albacora association.
