Ryanair strike - ten Faro flights cancelled

ryanairFive Ryanair flight due to leave from faro airport this morning were cancelled due to management’s inability to resolve cabin crew grievances that has ensure strike action has been implemented.

The Edinburgh and Manchester service was cancelled as well as flights to Belgium and Germany. Eindhoven Edinburgh and Hamburg flights took off as scheduled.

This afternoon, Wednesday July 25th, five further flights are due to be cancelled – to Porto, Luton, Stansted, Leeds and Manchester with the Bournemouth, Newcastle and Dublin services unaffected.

The strike is due to continue throughout tomorrow and is over the refusal of Ryanair’s management to accept Portuguese employment legislation for staff based in Portugal who have Irish work contracts.
