It’s the kind of news holidaymakers in Portugal wanted to hear – the last weekend of August will be hot and sunny and sea water temperatures in the Algarve will be particularly inviting, according to the latest weather forecasts.
Maximum temperatures are expected to reach 36ºC in Faro and Beja, 28ºC in Lisbon and 25ºC in Porto on Saturday with the sun shining in most of Portugal apart from some parts of the north.
The sky will clear up all over the country on Sunday. Sea water in the Algarve will be especially warm this weekend, reaching temperatures of around 24ºC.
