Ricardo Sá Pinto, Sporting Braga manager, was identified as having been detained at Faro airport after being involved in an altercation with cabin crew on a Ryanair flight from Faro to Porto, leading to the intervention of local authorities.
The coach was removed from the Ryanair flight before take-off at Faro airport after an argument with flight attendants escalated. He was travelling to Porto to organize the training of his team the next day.
After being contacted by RTP, Sá Pinto confirmed that that the episode took place, explaining that the crew prevented him from being able to stretch his legs in one of the more expensive front seats of the plane, despite this being the seating intended purpose.
The argument led to police being called, and Sá Pinto guaranteed that he was going to pursue legal action against Ryanair.
