The first roadshow of the year for 'Algarve Encanta' is heading to Seville, Madrid and Salamanca in a continuation of the initiative that aims to bring together 300 Spanish travel agents and opinion leaders over three days from 25 to 27 March.
The team from Portugal includes 30 Algarve-based travel agents and hoteliers who will have an opportunity of presenting their services to the carefully selected guests.
Algarve Tourism boss Desidério Silva commented, "we want to attract tourists to the Algarve from the neighbouring market in a programme that aims to facilitate business and trade between the Algarve and the Spanish.”
The travel and tourism industry catchment area in Seville, Salamanca and Madrid covers nearly nine million people, “this broad universe of potential tourists deserves our attention. In addition, this year we have experience from the two roadshows held in 2013, so expectations are high," continues Silva.
The initiative is organised by the Algarve Tourism Board with a workshop in each city that will offer a dedicated space for businesses for networking sessions with the Spanish travel trade, local authorities and the press, in total more than 300 participants over the three days.
