The municipality of Loulé will once again be awarded the Blue Flag distinction for every one of its beaches, plus the Vilamoura Marina.
The beaches that will fly the Blue Flag during bathing season, which officially starts on June 1st, are Almargem, Ancão, Forte Novo, Garrão Nascente, Garrão Poente, Loulé Velho, Quarteira, Quinta do Lago, Vale de Lobo and Vilamoura.
Regarding accessibility, the beaches of Quinta do Lago, Garrão Nascente and Almargem are not eligible for the “Accessible Beach, Beach for All” flag, meaning they are not equipped for people with reduced mobility. However, the remaining 7 beaches not only have good disabled access to the beach, but also offer assisted bathing.
