A group of 20 young Englishmen broke beds, ripped off locks on doors, urinated on curtains and pranced around naked in front of other guests and residents at the Apartamentos Regina complex, in Albufeira.
A terrified resident told the Correio da Manhã newspaper, “I called the GNR and they told me there was nothing they could do.”
The incident happend last week, “Upon arrival, on Wednesday, they were completely intoxicated. Bottles were broken by the pool. I called the GNR and they told me they couldn't do anything because they had already paid” said the resident.
The manager responsible for the hotel complex estimates damages caused at around €4,000. He told Correio da Manhã, as far as he is aware, “the group returned to the United Kingdom without being identified by the authorities”.
