Rain, thunderstorms and hail put Algarve under yellow warning between 12:00pm and 9:00pm this Friday 15th September and from 9:00am to 9:00pm on Saturday 16th September.
According to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), the districts of Bragança, Viseu, Évora, Guarda, Faro , Vila Real, Beja, Castelo Branco and Coimbra will all be affected.
The yellow warning, the least serious on a scale of three, is issued by IPMA whenever there is a risk situation for certain activities depending on the meteorological situation.
