EasyProperty set to launch

steliosEasyJet founder is seeking crowdfunding for its property start-up, easyProperty.

Sir Stelious Haji-Ioannou wants to raise £1 million from investors to help him launch a new online estate agency which he believes will change the way people buy, sell, and rent property.

Customers will be able to opt for a selection of services from easyProperty, such as advertising on websites, tenancy agreements, mortgages, insurance and conveyancing.

A single one-off fee, without admin charges or commission, will be due.

Starting with rentals, the service will next year begin to include sales, before it hopes to expand into Europe.

Operations begin across the UK later in September and already has 10,000 properties registered.

EasyProperty will be rubbing shoulders with Rightmove and Zoopla. All are trying to shake up the way properties have usually been marketed for sale and unseat traditional estate agencies.

Sir Stelious founded the budget carrier easyJet in 1995.
