Sir Cliff Richard, 73, has introduced a new sparkling rosé wine to the market.
Called Congratulations, the name is a reference to his 1968 hit.
The limited edition celebrates both the birth of Prince George in July and the 10th anniversary of Sir Cliff’s involvement with the Adega do Cantor in Guia.
Made from the 2010 crop of syrah grapes, Congratulations is the newest addition to the Vida Nova range.
A bottle is retailing in the UK for £19 per bottle, or £54 for a box of three and should be available for Christmas and New Year celebrations.
The launch was held at a hotel at Heathrow and hundreds of fans, old and young, turned up to see the singer who signed numbered commemorative cards for those who bought the wine.
This year also sees Sir Cliff promoting his 100th record, The Fabulous Rock ‘n’ Roll Songbook.
His annual calendar is still being produced, although the artist confessed he has been increasingly challenged to find new ways to photograph it.
'I can’t go on doing this, that is the only pressure, I have given up trying to think how can I look different, how can I smile differently? We are trying to use different locations now.'
Asked if calendar from pop group One Direction could become more popular, he said:
'Someone has to take over, it has become a pressure now for me after all these years constantly being number one with the calendar, and I may well be number one next year I don't know.'
