Popcorn Metrics, Zercatto and Cashtag are three Portuguese website startups that are to receive investment from the British investment company Seedcamp, one of the largest capital funds in Europe for fledgling companies.
These three companies now have the opportunity to participate in an accelerated development programme sponsored by the London based fund.
The Portuguese hopefuls won the regional competition in Lisbon and went on to gain investment in the final stages of the competition in Berlin.
Seedcamp is a British fund launched in 2007, represented in Portugal by Beta-i although it is not known what level of investment has been accepted by the Portuguese companies but funding at this stage is normally up to €50,000 in return for around 10% of a startup’s shares.
Metrics Popcorn is a web analysis company that looks at data and the behavior of corporate website users.
Zercatto is an online community that helps people manage their investment portfolio and Cashtag is a startup that has created a network for mobile payments where people with a smartphones can send, request or accept money.
