A 22 year old man was arrested for drug trafficking in Vilamoura at the weekend, after he acted nervously during a road inspection, arousing the suspicion of the authorities.

An 89 year old man died yesterday morning, following a car accident on the EN122, from Mértola (Beja) to Vila Real de Santo António near the town of Sedas.

The weekly average price of fuel, calculated by the Entidade Reguladora dos Serviços Energéticos (ERSE), rises this week by 3% for petrol and 2.6% for diesel.

After taxes, the price is €1,68 per litre for Unleaded 95.

According to ERSE, the average weekly price increased by 3% compared to the previous week in the case of petrol and 2.6% for diesel, taking into account the weekly variation in international prices for simple gasoline 95 at +4.8% and simple diesel by +2.7%.

Four people were injured, one of them seriously, following a collision that took place yesterday afternoon between two goods vehicles on the EN125 near Belmonte, in Portimão.
