With 1.75% N-ull, 45.5 A-bstention, 2.55 B-lank, and 3.0 O-thers (nanoparties, with no chance for a MP) NABO won with 52.8% of votes in Portugal!
In the Algarve, 1.78% N, 54.17% A, 2.84% B, 6.3% O; a total of 65,1% of voters in the Algarve said NO to the electoral system.
When more than half of the voters do not use their constitutional right to choose their representatives, they do not approve of the system. In really democracy it means that the King or the President should call for new elections, or better, for a new constitution. What people mean is that 'we do not have a real democracy.' This is a fact not only in Portugal, but in many other countries.
RTP as public Radio&TV, half paid by the taxpayer, should not compete with the commercial broadcasters, with appeals to ignorance. It should reflect this unsatisfaction. It keeps the citizen with the opium that suits useless advertising, also destructive of our cultural values.
The ever-changing information boss in TV gives a voice to those who already have a voice, not to the millions of citizens active in associations, clubs, enterprises. They can speak, but they don't have the oratory of politicians who have long since left productive life. They are not hyped or contradictory, which bad journalism likes. They bring good remarks and proposals.
The world is not simple, there is not only black, grey and white. No serious country has even half the population with the same desires. Pope Francis says “Only real popular democracy reflects the richness of multicultural life and the increasingly indispensable tolerance, in today's world”.

There are few really independent newspapers whose revenues come from readers and direct advertising, not from agencies. These generally are partially owned by investment funds that also own shares in huge foreign corporations. They give voice to friends of the funds, politicians who need fund owners’ money for electoral work. They need to pay millions to neuromarketing experts, as Cambridge Analytics, to elect fellows as Trump, Macron, Bolsonaro.
As I said on TV then, WE NEED E-VOLUTION TO STOP A RE-VOLUTION OR IN-VOLUTION! Or will governments in the EU provide the opium of faked news, games and vulgar shows? Or will youngsters, as in my generation, fight police, go to jail, but update systems, as in 1968 in Paris and all over Europe?
