Ayrton Senna’s luxury Algarve villa is for sale

sennaFormula1 champion Ayrton Senna’s luxury Algarve villa is for sale.

Senna was three times world champion and was killed in an accident at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix at Imola, he had won the title three times in 1988, 1990 and 1991.

The Algarve property was Senna’s European base which he shared with girlfriend Adriane Galisteu who was at the property when she heard news of his death.

The Quinta do Lago villa now is on the market for around €9.5million.

Senna paid the equivalent of €500,000 in 1991 for the house sat in one hectare with swimming pool, tennis court, football pitch and putting green.

The 900m2 villa has six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, large kitchen and lounge areas and a games room.

Brazlian, Adriane Galisteu became a celebrity following the death of Ayrton Senna and now works as a TV show host. Galisteu wrote a book "O Caminho das Borboletas" ('Adriane: My Life With Ayrton') about her relationship with the Brazilian Formula 1 legend. She is also the ex-girlfriend of Brazilian soccer player Roger Galera Flores. She was previously married to businessman Roberto Justus.
