Yearly, there is a BPM festival held in the town, and it’s not uncommon to find professional golfers hanging around Playa Del Carmen, after all, it is known for hosting the PGA tournaments! The town is surrounded by beautiful wilderness, unexplored and waiting for you to arrive. It is a relatively safe place to visit, with virtually no violent crimes.
Cancun
Cancun, Mexico, the quintessential American party destination. Every year, thousands of Americans make a pilgrimage to Cancun for the annual Spring Break celebrations. The town boasts hundreds of all-inclusive resorts, white sand, and nightclubs unlike any you will have visited in your entire life. Cozumel, which is not too far from Playa Del Carmen (why not see both?) is an island paradise adored for its coral reefs. Travelers across the world regularly visit Cozumel’s white-sanded beaches and crystal clear water. The island’s resorts are many, and it is a great place for you to visit if you are looking for a slice of peace in a world that, so far, has become incredibly chaotic and angst-provoking. Huatulco, a coastal town not too far from Oaxaca, nestled along the Pacific Ocean. Annually, the Festival Internacional Cervantino takes place, which is a great thing for you to visit if you are interested in art. This city is one of the most oft-visited in Mexico and is a great place for you to begin your tour of the country. The nightlife is insane, and there is so much to do. Visiting Mexico is something everybody has to do at least once in their life. The country has developed a bad reputation in the last few years, in part due to the drug crime prevalent there. It is, however, incredibly warm, welcoming, and provided you stick to tourist areas, very safe.
