Leaving from the meeting point in Silves, the motorcycle riders of the ASB took to hills over to Nave Redonda. Then from there they continued north to visit the Santa Clara country hotel, for a break for coffee and chance to admire and photograph the spectacular views of the lake from the hotel terrace high above the dam.
After spending time there, a loop through the quiet roads of the lower Alentejo before returning south via Sao Marcos and SB Messines, to lunch at Casa de Vinho restaurant in Vale Fuzeiros, owned by Chef Carla Marquez.
Excellent lunch with service provided by Ana Cabrita and co including the beautiful array of desserts, which proved to be very popular with the diners.
