In a celebratory dinner marking the Rotary Club of Albufeira's 53rd anniversary on June 16th, Jorge Azevedo assumed the role of club president for 2024-2025.
Azevedo, who has enjoyed the role of club president before in 2020- 2021, acknowledged the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, while expressing his gratitude for the support of local institutions, the community, and various Rotary organizations.
In his speech at the celebratory dinner on June 27th, he outlined a plan focusing on combating hunger and poverty, promoting education and healthcare, supporting youth development through leadership programs and volunteer initiatives, and advocating for environmental sustainability.
Azevedo emphasized the importance of collaboration and member participation in achieving these goals. He concluded by expressing his belief in the Rotary Club of Albufeira's potential to be a powerful force for good in the world.
