THE Algarve Senior Bikers Summer ride took place on Tuesday 12th July and was organised by Brian (5th Gear) Evans with the assistance of new member, Rene van der Sanden.
Rene led the group from the meeting point in Paderne via some pretty back roads to the lovely village of Querenca for yet another return visit to Rosa's Cafe in the village square opposite the church. Always a popular watering hole for ASB riders.
Brian then took over the lead role on the route via the twisty roads around Baranco Velho and south to arrive at Restaurant Biera Serra near Sao Bras de Alportel for lunch.
Although it was a warm day with temperatures around 36c the ride was quite enjoyable with a cooling breeze, and the 21 members taking part enjoyed the excellent lunch in the restaurant with the benefit of the pleasant air conditioned dining room.
