VILA VITA Parc in the Algarve has been named as the 2015 Best International Resort in the World by the Spanish edition of Condé Nast Traveler magazine, for the second time. Of the properties short-listed for the honor, VILA VITA Parc also achieved the distinction of being the only resort from Europe to be included amongst outstanding resorts located in Bali, Chiang-Mai, Punta Cana, Seychelles and the Maldives.
The award was collected by Katya Bauval, Director of Sales & Marketing for the resort, at a gala ceremony held in Madrid on May 7th.
The magazine also recognized Portuguese football player Luís Figo as Traveler of the Year 2015, who also received the award.
Condé Nast Traveler is recognised as the world’s leading international travel magazine, and the Spanish edition is a major influence in determining the travel plans of well-heeled Spanish consumers. Spain is one of VILA VITA Parc’s – and the Algarve’s – most important international markets, and the award is certain to encourage more visitors across the border this year, particularly as of June both Madrid and Barcelona will be linked by a direct flight for the summer.
Set on a prime cliff top location within 54 acres of lush subtropical gardens, VILA VITA Parc has recently completed an extensive refurbishment. The hotel offers families an array of accommodation options, including private villas with spectacular views over the ocean. With nine restaurants and seven bars onsite, one of which is the 2 Michelin starred Ocean restaurant, there is plenty of choice for everyone. Whilst children enjoy the various activities on offer, there are options for the adults as well including a VITAL spa, three tennis courts, volleyball court, boccia lanes, mountain bike hire, nine hole pitch and putt, 18 hole putting green and several 18 hole championship golf courses nearby.
