The Algarve Senior Bikers held their annual charity lunch on Friday 14 th of December. Returning to the popular Fatacil restaurant for the ninth time since the group was formed.
A draw for a festive hamper was made by Sandra Rodrigues one of two guests from the staff of the Gaivota home and she managed to pick her own ticket but promised to share the goodies with the kids in the home.
Sandra was accompanied by the home's psychologist Margarida Rodrigues who gave a short talk about recent developments and changes at the home and thanked the ASB for their ongoing support.
As a result of the lunch and donations made at the past years events a delegation of riders led by group organiser David Shirley was able to deliver 1100 euros to the Gaivota home for teenagers in Albufeira.
ASB member Martin Holloway also came along to hand over another 660 euros he had raised from organised quiz nights at the Cocktail Garden bar in Monte Carvoeiro.
The group will now take a break for the festive season and will meet again early in January to plan the program for 2019.
Happy Christmas and safe riding in the new year!
