The Alerta Associação Alerta de Incendio Florestal charity, is opening their own charity shop in Silves, and need volunteers to make this a success! Can you help?
Initially, in the next couple of weeks, they need help to prepare the shop, and then to help run the shop.
Debby Burton says, "We are looking for people from all the communities not just Estangeiros, we would love to have Portuguese volunteers and Portuguese speakers."
The Alerta association are hoping to be open Tuesdays to Saturdays, from 11.00 to 15.00 and will need a minimum of 3 to 4 people per day to cover those hours .
The contract for the lease of the premises has been signed, so if you are interested please contact Debby.
"We can not open if we don't have the manpower to staff the shop!"
The association are also asking for a supply of good pallets and some shop manniquins or taylors dummies too please!

The shop is located in Silves, at Lote 6, Rua Cruz de Portugal, next to the restaurant Monchiqueiro 2.
Associação Alerta de incendio Florestal /Forest fire Alert is a non profit organisation. The charity is dedicated to raising money for the Bombeiros, in the event of any fires, posting information on the fire, to aid the community and the services.
