Querença bird watching tour in support of RIAS rescue centre

bonellieagleThe QRER Cooperative, based in Querença, is opening its year of activities with a bird watching tour in and around the natural beauty of the Serra do Caldeirão.

The tour is open to the public and is being arranged by Proactivetur's João Ministro. The group will set off on Saturday, January 26, at 9:00 am from the Largo de Igreja Matriz in the picturesque village of Querença.

The route selected is not tough so will suit all levels. There is transport by car to various sites during the tour.

Species expected, range from the majestic Bonelli's eagle (pictured), to kestrels and shy tits.

The cost of the tour is €5 per person, which all goes to the Wildlife Recovery and Research Centre in Olhao.
