'Aero-vederci Baby' - Aerosmith farewell tour includes a Lisbon gig

aerosmithThe US rock group Aerosmith will perform on June 26th 2017 at the Meo Arena in Lisbon, as part of a farewell tour.

Last May, in statements to Rolling Stone magazine, lead singer Steven Tyler stated that the Aerosmith would probably embark on one final tour: "There are two bands that still have the original members, us and the Rolling Stones. We’ll do a farewell tour or go to the studio and record a new album, I'm very enthusiastic about it."

Between September and October this year the group played a series of concerts in South America and now have announced a final European tour to begin on May 17th in Tel Aviv and due to end on July 5th, 2017 in Zurich .

Tickets for the Lisbon concert will go on sale this coming Saturday and will cost between €55 and €89. Fans can pre-book on the Aerosmith website below.

The Boston group was formed in 1970. Aerosmith are billed as one of the most successful hard rock bands in the United States having sold more than 150 million albums with 25 gold, 18 platinum, and 12 multi-platinum albums in addition to countless awards including four Grammys.

Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton and Joey Kramer joined the band shortly afterwards, joined by guitarist Brad Whitford and, on and off, have been there ever since.
