A collision between two cars at Ponte Barão late this morning injured six people and closed the road for several hours.
The road leading to the bridge, near the landmark Kadoc nightclub, currently is being used as a rat-run as the EN125 is down to one lane and as a result is even more congested than usual.
The EM526 has seen a vastly increased volume of traffic as a result of the work on a bridge on the EN125 in the Fontainhas area seeing queues stretching back in both directions
The victims were transported to Faro Hospital after Loulé and Albufeira bombeiros, the emergency ambulance service, the Red Cross and the GNR turned up to help sort out the mess.
