The motorhome website, Yescapa, dedicated to the private rental of motorhomes, has arrived in Portugal.
Dubbed the ‘Motorhome Airbnb’, the website promotes itself as a trusted intermediary in the rental of motorhomes and campervans between private individuals.
The platform offers a complete rental service, with insurance and roadside assistance included, and is responsible for the verification of the identity of the owners and for the mechanical state of all the vehicles listed on the site.
According to Julie Da Vara, head of Yescapa: "The cultural and landscape diversity from the north to south of the country makes Portugal a destination with unique conditions for travelling. A motorhome can be the perfect way to explore small villages, our magnificent coastline or remote places in the interior, with total freedom."
The six year old business lists around 5,000 vehicles and operates in six countries in Europe: France, Spain, UK, Germany, Italy, and now is available in Portugal.
According to Yescapa, the rental service allows the owner to earn money from their vehicles, help finance its maintenance and create a new source of income, since on average, owners use their motorhome for personal use for only 70 days a year.
