The Vale de Lobo thief has been nabbed at his home in Olhão and valuables recovered from a string of burglaries.
The GNR tracked down and arrested a 46-year-old man whom it suspected of having committed the crimes. He has been arrested and charged.
Last Thursday, locals observed a number of armed PSP officers and GNR surrounding a property in a poor and degraded housing area of Olhão.
A search warrant was produced and five cameras, two laptops, two Macbooks, two tablets, an iPad, memory cards, three speakers, headphones, three bikes, five pairs of sunglasses, a watch, a clarinet, a pair of cuff links and several house keys were discovered.
The haul was valued at around €10,000.
The man has been to court and is free until his trial date. In the meantime, the case is being investigated further by the Loulé branch of the Faro Criminal Investigation and Action Department.
