But only if you can afford €2500 per night! The iconic red palace, next to the beach at Armação de Pêra is no longer a family holiday home, but is now luxury holiday accommodation, managed by the Vila Vita Parc resort.
The villa was built in the style of Belle Époque, at the beginning of the 20th century, and became an iconic part of the Armação de Pêra horizon. Formerly known as Chalet dos Caldas e Vasconcelos or Chalé das Palmeiras, was designed by a cork industrialist in the Algarve and remained as the family holiday home for 80 years.
Fully renovated and decorated in detail by the neighbouring and award-winning Vila Vita Parc resort, which manages reservations and support services, the Red Chalet opened its doors at the beginning of July, with all the comfort of a hotel and the warmth of a timeless retreat overlooking the ocean, especially on the large terrace.
A secret door leads you to another terrace at the top, which was built by the owner “to listen to the people of the people, singing prayers for the fishermen at sea, in the Church of Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes”.
The mansion, with direct access to the beach and the historic center of the village, has two bedrooms, an open kitchen and a living room, in addition to two terraces overlooking the sea.
The White House, the guest house, on the same property, has a more contemporary atmosphere, keeping some traces of the period, both in the duplex suite and in the studio.
Available only to book as a whole, Red Chalet can welcome up to eight guests from €2500 per night, minimum of 4 nights. It also offers access to a range of personalized and exclusive services, including access to the Vila Vita Parc yacht. Guests at the Red Chalet can request a private chef, a personal assistant or other additional services, in addition to being able to use the facilities of the neighbouring resort, via complimentary transport, such as the Vila Vita Spa by Sisley Paris, the 11 restaurants and the Wine Cellar, seven swimming pools, heliport, children's club with programs for different ages and water sports at Armação Beach Club.
