On Saturday 30th November, The International School of the Algarve held it's annual Christmas Bazaar and raised €2449.99 for a girls’ home in Portimão (‘Casa de Nossa Senhora da Conceição’).
The annual event is an opportunity for many stall orders to take part and sell their wares, while students get involved by organising children’s games and competitions, as well as assisting Santa Claus.
Parents and teachers very kindly helped with selling raffle tickets, cakes, food and mulled wine.
All procceeds from the Bazaar go to ‘Casa de Nossa Senhora da Conceição’, and it was wonderful to observe a group of girls from the home visit the Bazaar. They had a great time visiting Santa’s Grotto and joining in with all the fun and games.
The funds raised will ensure that the children’s home has its meat bill paid for a year, surely a fantastic achievement in such austere times.
The International School of the Algarve would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for their help and continued support.
