Angolan football team Angolan Kabuscorp have returned to the Amendoeira Golf Resort in the Algarve for the second year running.
The new manager Ljubomir Ristovsk "Risto" has brought his team for intensive pre-season training in the Algarve, Portugal.
Between the 18th and 27th January 2015, Kabuscorp Sport Clube do Palanca from Luanda in Angola conducted their pre-season training, organized by the sports agents Jorge Duarte and Sérgio Leite, at the Amendoeira Golf Resort near the town of Silves in the Algarve.
The vice-champions (Girabola) were submitted to an intensive training camp to assess the team strategy collectively and individually, as well as increase the team’s fitness levels. The Serbian manager took advantage of this training camp to get to know the players and their positions within the team, and had a great opportunity to do so during the friendly match between Kabuscorp and Ferreiras (held on Saturday 24th January at Amendoeira Sports Club), with Kabuscorp being the winner for 6:1: “Was a great practice match. We played with more or less 22 players. The response was good … it is always good to win to increase confidence”, mentioned Ljubomir Ristovsk.
The team trained at the Amendoeira Sports Club which is located within the grounds of the Amendoeira Golf Resort. They had exclusive use of the full size natural grass pitch in complete privacy, and could confirm the conditions of the pitch: “The pitch is in excellent conditions”, stated manager “Risto”.
Players, staff and the management team stayed in spacious two bedroom apartments with four people sharing two twin rooms, served by 2 separate bathrooms. In between training sessions, healthy and nutritious meals were served at the stunning Amendoeira Clubhouse, prepared in line with the team’s requirements.
The coach on behalf of the team is planning future training camps at Amendoeira Golf Resort: “In 10 days of training camp we were really delighted with the apartments conditions, the meals and the football pitch. The resort’s staff were always very friendly and helpful, so, if possible, we will always want to return for a pre-season training camp. The Kabuscorp team thank all Amendoeira Golf Resort staff for the hard work. Many thanks!”.
