Golf -Third Party Tee Time Rules of Engagement

golfSeveral years ago, the National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA) in the United State of America promised to address the issue of 3rd party tee vendors.

Finally this summer after months and months of delays they came out with a list of “Best Practices” that, while a good start, left many gaps in how a service vendor (3rd party aggregators) should treat and do business with their customer (golf course).

The real problem, of course, is that the golf course is NOT their customer; they are simply a necessary evil that supplies the raw materials for the product they sell (tee times) to their actual customers – the golfer.

With that key thought in mind here are the Golf Operator Association's “Rules of Engagement.” Follow the rules (all of them), or don’t engage at all!
