The Parque da Floresta golf course opened in 1987 was designed by Pepe Gancedo (1938-2016). One of Spain´s most famous golf course architects, his design philosophy was to make courses enjoyable, traditional, challenging and memorable, with minimal alteration to the existing terrain.

The Oceanico World Golf Kids Championship returned to Amendoeira Golf Resort for the ninth consecutive year last week, where 136 of the world’s most promising young golfers enjoyed a fun-filled competition and the chance to experience life as a tour professional.
Sanctioned by The R&A and with World Amateur Golf Ranking points on offer, the event attracted some of Europe’s finest young golfers to the Algarve venue to test themselves over the Faldo and O’Connor Jnr courses. The former was recently named Portugal’s Best Golf Course at the World Golf Awards.

Portugal wins bronze at the Czech Tetrahlon Open U19The gorgeous Czech capital of Prague celebrated the Czech Tetrathlon Open for juniors under 19 years. The tournament took place from 10 to 11 June 2017.
In addition to the host country, players from eleven countries competed at this prestigious event. These countries were Belarus, Egypt, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, and Ukraine.

At the team men’s competition, with 3188 points, the Portuguese team of: Eduardo Oliveira, Hugo Morais, and Vasco Coelho, won the third place and claimed the bronze medal.
Silver medal went to the Polish team of: Igor Powroznik, Kamil Kasperczak, and Sergiusz Jakubowski, who collected 3233 points.
The Hungarian team: Bence Viczian, Jozsef Tamas, and David Soponyai, accumulated 3299 points and received the gold medal.
