The local Maritime Police Commander for Lagos and the Sagres Lifeguard Station commander coordinated an operation to recover the adult whale which then was taken away for disposal on land, having checked this out with the Institute for Nature Conservation.

Earthquake off Faro triggers oil drilling fears

The event occurred at 04:48 and followed Sunday’s 3.5 earthquake off the west coast that saw people running into the street in the Peniche area due to the loud booming noise created.
